About Andrew

Born and bred in sunny KwaZulu-Natal, Andrew Bishop is a multi-faceted businessman who has dedicated his career to empowering others, self-development and building a network of entrepreneurs. Andrew holds a BCom in Accounting, Economics and Taxation and his Honours in Economics, both awarded by Rhodes University. After obtaining his Honours degree, Andrew went on to study an Executive MBA at The London School of Economics and Political Science.

In 2010, Andrew joined one of the ‘Big 5’ accounting firms – Deloitte – with a key focus on Risk Advisory. Just two years later, he co-founded Hintotex – a company in the FMCG sector that produces snacks, beverages and sweets. Stopping at just one company was never going to be enough, and Andrew soon started to expand his repertoire. He founded two more companies, namely Gogo Nandi’s Food, which is an informal mobile takeaway, and Bishop Rock Capital which focuses on low-cost housing and recycling. Along with this, Andrew is also involved in small-scale agriculture which helps to create jobs within his community. Andrew has spent most of his career starting businesses, so it is no surprise he’s found his stride in an entrepreneurial path.
