Introduction to Andrew Bishop

Greetings! I’m Andrew Bishop, a proud product of the sunny landscapes of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. My journey in the world of business has been nothing short of diverse and impactful, fuelled by a passion for empowering others, continuous self-development, and fostering a thriving network of entrepreneurs.

Armed with a BCom in Accounting, Economics, and Taxation, as well as an Honours in Economics from Rhodes University, my academic foundation laid the groundwork for a dynamic career. Post-Honours, I delved into an Executive MBA at The London School of Economics and Political Science, expanding my horizons on the global stage.

In 2010, I embarked on a pivotal chapter with Deloitte, one of the ‘Big 5’ accounting firms, specialising in Risk Advisory. However, the entrepreneurial spirit within me yearned for more. Just two years later, I co-founded Hintotex, a company in the FMCG sector, crafting delectable snacks, beverages, and sweets.

But why stop at one venture? Soon, I broadened my portfolio, establishing Gogo Nandi’s Food – an informal mobile takeaway – and Bishop Rock Capital, dedicated to low-cost housing and recycling.

With a career largely cantered on birthing and nurturing businesses, it’s no surprise that the entrepreneurial path feels like home.
